Workwear: Girl Boss Outfits

Is it just me or does Elle Woods walking to court dressed all in hot pink not just scream BOSS?!
Breaking the norm of plain untailored black suits is exactly what I try to do in my work life. I don’t have a “uniform”, so I like to play around and experiment with my wardrobe to not appear as a “typical teacher”. I always try to look my best, as Coco Chanel said, "Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman".

I’ve come up with three outfits which I love wearing. They are all outfits which are classy and sophisticated while still being appropriate!

OUTFIT ONE: BELT IT UP!

This is one of my favourite workwear outfits, it shouts elegance whilst still being a little casual. I've spruced up this outfit with a belt and kitten heels. Wearing a belt around any blazer not only brings colour but also sinches in that waist! It’s amazing how a simple accessory can tie the whole outfit together!

OUTFIT TWO: SUNS OUT, LEGS OUT

Don't let anyone tell you that you can't wear a skirt to work. Of course you can. Obviously don't go over the top and wear a tiny skirt with bear legs. I like to wear black tights with my skirts to work as well as pairing them with my sock boots. It's a classy yet respectful outfit to wear in the workplace. I've had these pieces in my wardrobe for about three years, I love creating new outfits with the clothes I already have. The newest addition is this H&M top which I can pair with everything!

OUTFIT THREE: CASUAL IN BLACK

You can never go wrong with the colour black. This is an outfit I rely on for days I have no idea what I'm going to wear! It's so effortless, however it looks like I put thought into it. I like to call it the lazy person's look to looking put together lol!
