5 Things I'm Grateful For This Week

I have a lot to be grateful for this week and I feel the need to have a heart to heart appreciation post. This week has been a good one, and I am sharing 5 things I am grateful for, so check them out below!

I also shot this look last week after the Vavavoom S/S '17 preview in Dublin. You can find the details to everything below.

1. My Insane Determination

This week I seriously surprised myself. If you follow me on Instagram, you will know I was in Russia recently, well I had a 2000 word essay due during my trip so I made sure it was done before I went- which required a lot of planning! Well exactly one week after I came home I had two essays due, a 2000 word and a 3000 word, two day's apart, not to mention 3 Italian assignments. The pressure was on and the thoughts of asking for an extension were floating around my head. But I decided against is as I wanted to test myself to see if I would be able to get it done. Well I did and the feeling of success that ran through my body was amazing. I did something I never believed I could do, so I am just so proud of myself. If you are also a final year student I guess you can understand my stress! 😂 I even got three Blogposts done the day after I finished my essays, talk about wonder woman!

2. Being Irish

As St. Patrick's Day was a few days ago, I have to mention how grateful I am to be Irish. Being Irish is something special, we are one of the friendliest nations in the world. When I go abroad I like to shout from the rooftops that I am Irish and when I do, everyone is always so intrigued. They also ask me why I'm not ginger..(stereotypes can never be avoided!!). I am proud of our traditions, our language, and our history. We are a tiny nation but my god are we loved by nearly every country in the world!

3. My College Friends

I am so so so grateful for the group of girls in my Italian class, I think we are getting each other through the stresses of final year. We really lean on each other for support and I'm just so grateful to have such an amazing and genuine group of friends. Sending you all individual hugs girls! Baci baci x

4. My Blogging Pals

Blogging is such a huge part of my life that having like minded people in the industry that you can call friends is just incredible. I get so much support from my blogging pals that I can't thank them enough. Being from different parts of Ireland can be a pain but that's the beauty of social media, we are never that far apart! Sending hugs to Clóda, Shona, Michelle, Emer and Joana!

5. The GSPCA

And finally I saved one of the best things until last, I am so grateful for the GSPCA. We got a new cat this week who happens to be a rescue cat. He was rescued by the GSPCA and was given to a very kind woman who liaises with them, to take care of and look for a home for him. His story is so sad: When he was about 3 months old he was found in a woman's back garden after being severely bullied by other cats, he was urinated on multiple times as well as his food. He had no confidence that he allowed the other cats to bully him. He was terrified to make one wrong move. When he was rescued he was skin and bone and didn't eat. He would only eat if the other animals ate first. However, after 10 months of being with his temporary owner, he now looks extremely healthy, he has gained all his confidence back and he is just so so friendly. When I entered the ladies home he came up to me immediately to say hello and allowed me to rub him. He followed me around the whole room. When he came home with us, he settled in within 15 minutes and is doing great since! He loves company and he loves to stay with people when they are in the kitchen. So I am so grateful to the GSPCA for saving him. He's amazing!

Chat soon lovelies and remember, don't forget to check out my social media channels!
