Two years have passed since I decided to throw my love for fashion and travel online. Since then I have seen my brand grow more than I had ever believed. I sat down a few days ago and I looked at my journal from last year and my one from this year to see what CiaraSwalsh has done since my last 'blogiversary'.
Since May 2016 I have travelled to more than 29 cities, I've lived abroad, I've been to more than 25 events, and I've been apart of approx. 15 collaborations- not a big number but it tells me that I can produce click worthy content for you guys without the help of a brand. I have also completed my final year studies in NUI Galway, I began my series on #ScoliosisStories after coming out about my battle with Scoliosis for almost 10 years and I've since undergone my second operation for it too (update on my condition is coming soon). I've been featured on numerous occasions in Galway Now Magazine, in various newspapers, on Stellar.ie, in Stellar magazine and I've recently been on XPOSÉ. As well as this I have made amazing friends and I've met amazing people. I get a great feeling when I'm able to connect with people with the same drive and mindset as myself.
That was just one year.
When I made that list I was baffled at how far my blog has come. It makes me excited for what's to come in the next year. This isn't a post to gloat at all the achievements I've had this year but to say, I began this blog using my little iPhone out the back of my house taking photos, now 2 years on I have accomplished all of this. I am always hard on myself about the quality of my blog, always telling myself that I can be better. After looking at what I have done in such a short amount of time, it shows me that I should give myself credit once in a while. However saying that, would I have accomplished all that I have if I didn't criticise myself?
All I know is that I proved to myself this year that I have serious determination and I really push myself to be better every day. I can really see CiaraSwalsh going somewhere after the year I've had. I'm just happy to bring you all along with me for the ride.
